The customer is already in your store
Garden centers and hardware stores sit at the exact moment a turf sale begins: a homeowner standing in a landscape aisle, tired of watering, re-seeding, and mud. Artificial turf has become a mainstream residential upgrade (water-wise, mow-free, pet-proof) and when the store they already trust doesn’t carry it, that customer drives to someone who does. The demand doesn’t need creating. It needs a display.
One project, a whole basket
- The turf itself, by the roll or cut to length, across lawns, pets, play, and putting.
- Install accessories: infill, seam tape, staples, weed barrier, and edging on the same ticket.
- The aisles you already stock: base material, pavers, border stone, and the plants that frame a new lawn.
- The return trip: turf customers come back for the next project, and send the neighbor who asked who did the yard.

The part that used to stop retailers
Carrying turf used to mean committing floor space and cash to pallets of heavy rolls in colors you hoped would sell. That’s the model we built our retailer program to kill: you sell from a display and hand samples, and orders ship from the nearest EGD hub: to your store for pickup or straight to the customer. Staff get product and measuring training through EGD University, counter conversations become written estimates through our online tools, and customers who want professional installation get referred to vetted crews while the material sale stays with you. Stocking a few fast-movers later is an option volume can earn, never the price of entry.
What a program looks like for your store (the display, the assortment, the economics) is a short conversation, not a price list. Start at the retailer page and ask for the program book.
