Where the savings come from.
Water is the big one. A natural lawn consumes an estimated 30–50 gallons per square foot per year. A 1,000 sqft lawn can drink up to 40,000 gallons annually; a 5,000 sqft property, up to 200,000. Artificial grass takes that line item to zero, permanently, which is also why it is the go-to answer in drought-restricted and conservation-mandated areas.
Then the labor. No mowing means no monthly landscaping contract, no mower fuel, no fertilizer, no pesticide treatments, no over-seeding every spring, no sprinkler system to repair. The maintenance that remains (an occasional rinse and brush) costs you a garden hose and fifteen minutes.
And the lifespan makes it compound. With basic care, an EGD lawn lasts 15–25 years and carries a 16-year warranty. Every year of that life is another year of your water and landscaping money staying in your pocket.
