Can artificial grass go directly on a roof deck?
Yes: it installs over concrete, pavers, and deck surfaces. Water drains through the permeable backing to the roof’s existing drainage. Always confirm weight allowances with your building; our low-pile products keep loads modest.
Will rooftop sun fade it?
EGD products carry strong UV ratings (ISO 4892-3 grey scale 4–5 on newer lines; 9–10/10 weathering scores on others) and UV-stabilized heavy-denier fiber resists fade well beyond standard turf.
Does it work on balconies and small patios?
Perfectly. Compact areas can often be covered seam-free with a single cut from our 15-ft rolls.
How does water drain off a rooftop lawn?
Through the turf and out the roof’s existing drainage, which must stay unobstructed; never block drains or scuppers. The turf and underlayment pass water through to the membrane, and the roof sheds it exactly as designed. Flag the application when you quote and we spec the system for it.
