What's Inside

Light build, serious workhorse.
EverPlay 70 keeps its weight where it counts. A 39 oz face of W-shaped blades is tufted at a 3/8 in. gauge into a tidy 1.50 in. pile, and the W profile is the reason a lighter turf can take daily abuse: each blade folds along its creases and springs back instead of matting flat. The field and apple green blend reads as a clean, well-kept lawn rather than a sports surface, so it fits a backyard as naturally as it fits a playground.
Under the pile, a thatch layer supports the blades and helps lock infill in place, while the woven PP backing with two polyurethane coats anchors every tuft. Perforations in that backing move 50 or more inches of water per hour, so puddles clear fast after rain or a hose-down. It is FIFA Quality certified and PFAS-free and lead-free, which matters when the main users are kids and pets.
Where EverPlay 70 earns its keep.
This is the turf we point to when the question is "what holds up without overbuying?" Playgrounds, daycare yards, dog runs, batting cages and indoor training corners all want the same thing: a stable, low-profile surface that does not shift underfoot and does not look tired after a season. The 1.50 in. pile is short enough to stay fast and even, tall enough to feel like grass.
Because the build is lighter than the rest of the EverPlay line, rolls are easier to handle and the surface stays firm with a modest infill load. For a side run that gets pounded by kids and a dog, or a garage gym that needs a forgiving floor, EverPlay 70 does the job without asking you to pay for pile you will never use.
Right fit, wrong fit.
Choose EverPlay 70 for
- Playgrounds, daycare yards and play corners that need a stable, low-profile surface
- Dog runs and pet areas where standard perforated drainage is enough
- Batting cages, garage gyms and indoor training spaces
- High-traffic paths and side yards where durability matters more than plushness
Look elsewhere when
- You want a plusher, denser feel underfoot: step up to EverPlay 100 and its 76 oz C-blade face
- Several dogs use the yard daily and drainage is the whole point: EverPet 87 drains over 1,000 inches per hour through its permeable FlowThru backing
- You are after maximum cushion for hard play and big falls: EverPlay 130 carries a full 2.00 in. pile
Rolls, infill, and install notes
EverPlay 70 ships on 15 ft. wide rolls up to 100 ft. long, so a 20 ft. wide play area means two runs and one seam; plan the layout so seams fall away from the busiest lanes. Brush in 1.0 to 1.5 lbs of infill per square foot to ballast the turf and keep the W-blades upright. The full process is on our installation guide, and the tool checklist covers everything you need before the first roll comes off the truck.
Pairings & the ladder
Inside the EverPlay line, EverPlay 70 sits alongside EverPlay 100, EverPlay 130. The climb is weight and density: more ounces per square yard means more blade per inch underfoot. Heavy pet traffic in part of the yard? Many customers split the space and run EverPet 87 (FlowThru) with its 1,000+ in/hr FlowThru backing in the dog zone.
EverPlay 70 FAQ
Asked about this product.
Is EverPlay 70 soft enough for kids to fall on?
The 1.50 in. pile over a proper base and 1.0 to 1.5 lbs of infill per square foot gives a forgiving, even surface for everyday play. For elevated play structures with fall-height requirements, add a foam pad under the turf and check the pad rating against your local requirement.
How much infill does EverPlay 70 need?
Plan on 1.0 to 1.5 lbs per square foot. With a 39 oz face, the infill does real work here: it ballasts the turf, protects the backing and keeps the blades standing, so do not skip or skimp on it.
Can EverPlay 70 handle dogs?
Yes. The perforated backing drains 50 or more inches per hour, which covers rain and routine rinse-downs for a dog or two. If the space is a dedicated run for multiple dogs, EverPet 87 is the purpose-built choice with over 1,000 inches per hour of drainage.
