EverPet 87 starts where pet turf problems actually live: at the bottom. Instead of a coated backing with drain holes, it uses a permeable FlowThru backing that drains across its entire surface at more than 1,000 inches per hour. Urine never sits in the pile waiting for a hole to find; it passes straight through to the base below. Cleanup becomes exactly what you want it to be: pick up solids, rinse, and the run is dry again by the time the dog is.
Up top, the 1.25 in. pile mixes D and C-shaped blades, a pairing chosen for paws and claws: the D-blades are stiff and stand back up under digging and sprinting, while the C-blades fill the pile and keep it soft. Sanitized antimicrobial protection is built into the turf to help keep the surface fresh between rinses, and the field and lime green blend hides the traffic a busy run takes. It is FIFA Quality certified, PFAS-free and lead-free.

The rinse-and-dry routine is what makes EverPet 87 scale. One dog in a side-yard run, a daycare with twenty boarders, a veterinary yard that gets hosed down twice a day: the workflow is the same because the whole floor is a drain. Paired with a zeolite layer in the infill, which captures ammonia odor between rinses, the surface stays presentable on a schedule a human can actually keep.
The 1.25 in. pile height is deliberate too. It is short enough that solid waste sits up on the surface instead of sinking in, and tall enough to look like a lawn rather than a mat. Rolls, infill, and install notes
EverPet 87 comes on 15 ft. wide rolls up to 100 ft. long, which covers most dog runs in a single seam-free strip; measure the run so cuts come out of one width where possible. Because the permeable FlowThru backing passes everything through, the base does the finishing work: build it free-draining so the 1,000+ inches per hour the backing can move actually has somewhere to go. Brush in 1.5 to 2.0 lbs of infill per square foot with a zeolite layer underneath to capture odor at the source. How does EverPet 87 handle urine odor?
Three ways working together. What does 1,000+ in/hr of drainage actually mean?
It means the backing is never the bottleneck. Unlike a perforated turf, where water travels to spaced drain holes, every square inch of the FlowThru backing is permeable, so rinse water and urine pass straight through wherever they land. In practice, the surface is walkably dry minutes after a hose-down.
Will digging and claws tear up the 1.25 in. pile?
The blade mix is chosen for exactly that abuse: stiff D-blades recover from claws and traffic while C-blades keep the pile full, and every tuft is locked into the woven backing. No turf makes digging rewarding, which is half the cure; most dogs quit trying once there is no dirt payoff.
