The industry’s #1 one-star review
It goes like this: the turf arrives on a freight truck, the driver’s obligation ends at the curb, and the customer discovers that a 15-foot roll weighs several hundred pounds and does not care about their back or their driveway slope. "Curbside delivery" is standard LTL freight practice, not a scam. But no one told the buyer, and the one-star review writes itself. It is, by our reading of the industry’s reviews, the single most common turf complaint in America.
How we structure it instead
- California: our own trucks and drivers, unloading included, rolls placed on your driveway, GPS link texted en route. The curb problem simply doesn’t exist in our home state.
- Nationwide, option A: hub pickup. Collect at one of 50+ freight-partner service centers where a forklift loads your trailer. Cheapest, and the anti-curbside option: machinery does the lifting at both ends.
- Nationwide, option B: door delivery. Quoted honestly with the physics explained up front: know your roll weights (we tell you), arrange hands or equipment, and nobody meets a surprise.

The questions to ask any supplier
Before wiring money anywhere: Exactly what happens at delivery: liftgate? curbside? placed where? What does my heaviest roll weigh? What are my pickup alternatives? A supplier with good answers will love the questions; a supplier who hedges is scheduling your one-star moment. We’d rather have the conversation at quote time. It’s in the quote, in fact.
