Will artificial grass look fake?

The bright-green-carpet era is over. Modern premium turf blends two to four shades of green with a tan thatch layer at the base that mimics the dead undergrowth real lawns have, and engineered blade shapes reflect light the way living grass does: a soft matte, not a plastic shine.

That said, photos can’t settle this question, and you shouldn’t let ours try. Order free samples, walk them out to your actual yard, and look at them at noon in your light. That’s the test that matters, and it’s the one we’d ask you to run before buying anything from anyone.
