Can I put furniture, grills, or a fire pit on artificial grass?

Furniture: yes, comfortably. Tables, chairs, loungers, and play equipment live on turf everywhere we supply it. Two habits keep it looking new: put feet or pads under the heaviest constant loads (a filled hot tub is different from a dining set), and shift pieces occasionally; compressed blades under a leg recover with a stiff brush, but years in one spot takes longer to groom out.
Open flame and high heat: plan for it, because polyethylene fiber melts rather than burns clean. Never set a fire pit, chiminea, or grill directly on turf, and watch dropped embers and grease; a melt scar is permanent until the section is patched. The fix is easy at design time: give fire features a hard-surface zone (pavers make a handsome island in a turf lawn) or an elevated pit on a fire-pit pad rated for the heat, and keep the grill on the patio side of the transition. Same logic as the window-reflection rule: protect the turf from the heat source, and the lawn shrugs off everything else.
