Answered by Evan Benjamin: straight answers from 31+ years of combined industry experience.
Winter is one of turf’s quiet advantages. Snow sits on it like it sits on any lawn, then melts and drains through the backing. Freeze-thaw cycles don’t harm properly installed turf or the compacted base under it, which is why our lines ship to Alaska and the Mountain West without a winter asterisk.
Two practical notes: if you shovel, use a plastic shovel; metal blades can catch fibers. And while your neighbors’ lawns go dormant and brown until a muddy spring, yours stays green through all of it, with no reseeding season on the other side.
