How do I clean artificial grass?
Answered by Evan Benjamin: straight answers from 31+ years of combined industry experience.
Almost everything is water. Dust and pollen rinse off with a hose (or wait for rain). Leaves and debris clear with a blower or plastic rake. Pet areas get a weekly rinse and a monthly enzyme treatment. For stains, mild household detergent (about a teaspoon in a pint of warm water) handles nearly everything. Gum and wax: harden with ice, then scrape with a plastic spatula.
The never list is short but absolute: no bleach, no caustic cleaners (pH above 9), no strong acids (pH below 5). They damage fibers and can void the warranty. Our tips page carries the full stain-by-stain playbook if you’re staring at something specific.
