Getting turf in Rochester.
Rochester orders land at the in-town freight-partner center: trailer pickup with forklift loading, or door delivery quoted across western New York, Buffalo to the Finger Lakes.
The snowiest test our Northeast turf takes.
Rochester routinely tops the list of America’s snowiest big cities: roughly a hundred inches a year off Lake Ontario, burying lawns from Thanksgiving to April. For turf, the burial is a non-event: polyethylene fiber is unaffected by months under snowpack, meltwater drains through the backing instead of ponding into mud, and frost-depth base compaction keeps the surface true through the heave cycle. The April reveal is the payoff: instant green while every natural lawn in Monroe County starts its month-long recovery. Buffalo and the Finger Lakes order through the same center.

Rochester FAQ
Asked in Rochester.
Can turf really sit under 100 inches of snow?
All winter, every winter. Snowpack is just weight the fiber ignores, and melt drains through at published rates. It emerges green the week the pack releases.
Does the Rochester center serve Buffalo?
Yes. Western New York is one footprint: trailer pickup in Rochester or door delivery quoted from Buffalo to the Finger Lakes.
What about snowblowers and shoveling on turf?
Plastic shovels and careful snowblower height work fine; just keep metal edges off the fiber. Most owners just let the lake-effect melt on its own schedule.
