Getting turf in Salt Lake City.
Most Salt Lake turf buyers order from suppliers three states away. EGD keeps a distribution hub right here, one of six nationally, which means inventory staged in the valley, faster turnaround than freight-only competitors, and trailer pickup without leaving the metro. Door delivery quotes to every Wasatch Front ZIP, Ogden to Provo.
SLC contractors: with the hub local and volume discounts from 500 sqft, ask about trade pricing. The Wasatch Front is one of our most active contractor markets in the country.
The city rewriting America’s lawn rules.
Utah’s capital sits at the center of the country’s most serious lawn-water reckoning: a shrinking Great Salt Lake, aggressive conservation targets, and municipalities across the valley restricting irrigated turf grass in new construction. Several now limit or bar it in park strips and new front yards outright. Artificial grass is the green these rules point toward: zero irrigation forever, HOA-grade curb appeal, and published product specs for any approval process. Check your specific municipality’s current ordinance; we’ll supply the documentation.
The climate seals it: snow-load winters (harmless to the fiber, drained at melt), high-desert summer UV (UV-stabilized fiber holds its color), and a freeze-thaw cycle that our base-prep spec was written for.

Salt Lake City FAQ
Asked in Salt Lake City.
Why is EGD faster than other turf suppliers in Salt Lake City?
We stage inventory at our own SLC distribution hub instead of freighting every order cross-country, so pickup and delivery turn in days, not weeks, across the Wasatch Front.
Does artificial turf comply with Salt Lake area lawn restrictions?
Utah’s tightening rules target irrigated natural grass; artificial turf uses zero irrigation, which is the outcome those ordinances exist to drive. Confirm specifics with your municipality and HOA. Our spec sheets cover most documentation requests.
Can I pick up turf in Salt Lake City?
Yes. Trailer pickup at our SLC hub with your order cut and staged in advance. Call (805) 225-3387 to schedule and we’ll have it ready.
