What a 100 oz face looks like.

Legacy 127 carries 100 oz of yarn per square yard in the pile alone, the densest face in the catalog by a wide margin. At 2.00 in. that density changes the nature of the surface: the pile does not part underfoot so much as compress, like deep carpet, and from above the lawn is a solid, unbroken plane of clover and apple green. Nothing lighter can replicate the way it absorbs footsteps and sound.

The fiber is the Mini S blade, a small-gauge yarn with an S-shaped curl along its length. Those curls do two things. They scatter incoming light in every direction, which erases the shine that gives most turf away and leaves a soft, velvet-matte finish. And they interlock with their neighbors, so the dense pile supports itself and resists directional matting instead of combing over in one sweep.

For spaces where only the best will do.

Legacy 127 is the top of the line and it is positioned accordingly: estates, premium residential lawns, hotel and office landscapes, and commercial frontage where the grounds are part of the brand. The 127 oz total build shrugs off steady foot traffic, and the self-supporting density means the surface looks composed even in spaces that never get a quiet day.

The platform is the proven one, scaled up: woven PP backing with two polyurethane coats, perforated drainage at 50+ in/hr, a 16 year warranty, and an infill spec of 1.5 to 2.0 lbs per square foot. Be realistic about handling: at this weight a full roll is a machine lift, not a two-person carry, so site access belongs in the plan. Beyond that, the deepest lawn we make asks nothing special of you.

Right fit, wrong fit.

Choose Evergreen Legacy 127 for

  • Estates and premium properties where the lawn has to be the best thing on the street
  • Commercial and hospitality grounds that need showpiece looks under constant foot traffic
  • Buyers chasing a shine-free, velvet-matte surface: the Mini S curl scatters light like no straight blade
  • Anyone who has compared total weights and wants the ceiling: 127 oz is it

Look elsewhere when

  • A lighter flagship still covers the brief: Legacy 111 delivers 2.00 in. depth and FIFA Quality tested resilience at a 111 oz build
  • You want the straw-toned, mixed-blade realism style: Legacy 107 and 97 chase lifelike over luxurious
  • Access is tight or the crew is small: a lighter Evergreen handles far more easily on stairs, rooftops and courtyards
Rolls, infill, and install notes

Full rolls are 15 ft. wide by up to 100 ft. long (1,500 square feet), and at 127 oz per square yard they are among the heaviest we ship, so arrange equipment or extra hands for placement and plan cuts off the 15 ft. width with grain running one way. Work 1.5 to 2.0 lbs of infill per square foot down through the dense pile in several passes; a power broom is not optional at this face weight. Base prep is the standard 3 to 4 in. of compacted aggregate. The installation guide and tool checklist cover the rest.

Pairings & the ladder

Inside the Evergreen Legacy line, Evergreen Legacy 127 sits alongside Evergreen Legacy 92, Evergreen Legacy 97, Evergreen Legacy 107, Evergreen Legacy 111. The climb is weight and density: more ounces per square yard means more blade per inch underfoot. Heavy pet traffic in part of the yard? Many customers split the space and run EverPet 87 (FlowThru) with its 1,000+ in/hr FlowThru backing in the dog zone.

Evergreen Legacy 127 FAQ

Asked about this product.

What is a Mini S blade and why use it on the flagship?

It is a fine-gauge fiber extruded with an S-shaped curl rather than a straight ridge profile. The curls scatter light in every direction, killing the plastic shine that exposes most turf, and they interlock so the pile supports itself. At a 100 oz face those traits compound: maximum density with a soft matte finish, which is exactly the brief for the top of the line.

Can Legacy 127 really handle commercial foot traffic?

Yes; its application rating runs from estates through commercial spaces. Durability here comes from sheer mass: 100 oz of interlocked face yarn means thousands of blades share every footstep, so no individual fiber takes enough strain to crease. Keep the infill at spec and give high-traffic entries an occasional brushing, and it holds its posture in spaces that never empty.

Is getting infill into such a dense pile a problem?

It takes method, not luck. Spread the 1.5 to 2.0 lbs per square foot in two or three thin lifts, power brooming between each so the sand works past the interlocked Mini S curls to the backing. Dumped in one pass it will sit high in the pile. Any professional crew does this as a matter of course; it simply adds an hour, not a difficulty.
